Demand for outsourcing continues at CHEMUK 2025 with strong show presence and packed panel discussion
CHEMUK proved to be another standout event for the BCMPA and its members, as the Association took centre stage at the NEC Birmingham to showcase the power of outsourcing in the chemical sector.
Marking its 25th anniversary year, the BCMPA used the event to continue its #outsourcingis campaign, helping visitors explore the critical role third-party providers play in driving business growth, ensuring compliance, and accelerating speed to market.
Exhibiting from the new Formulated Product Manufacturing Zone, the BCMPA team was joined at the show by seven member companies – Biodeg, Briar Chemicals, Cod Beck Blenders, Libra Speciality Chemicals, Safapac,The Rakem Group and WeFill – all demonstrating their expertise in contract manufacturing and supply chain services for the chemical, household and industrial sectors.
A highlight of the show was the BCMPA’s panel discussion on Thursday 22nd May, which attracted a large and engaged audience. Led by CEO Emma Verkaik and joined by Eduardo Moriya (Expac), Matt Wood (HI&I Technical), and Martin Usher (Grotech Production), the session explored how outsourcing supports brands in meeting rising regulatory demands, cost pressures, and operational complexity.
The discussion also acknowledged the increasing challenges faced by the chemical sector, including enhanced risk management, sustainability requirements, and the need for agile response strategies amid geopolitical uncertainties and supply chain disruptions. The panel underscored how outsourcing partners provide the expertise and infrastructure needed to navigate these challenges while maintaining compliance and efficiency.
