BCMPA: bringing white label products to market the easy way – Feb 2023

Over the last 12 months the association has seen a growth of over 50 percent in white label enquiries from clients using the BCMPA website. The BCMPA is exhibiting at this year’s White Label World Expo to highlight the benefits that brands and retailers can achieve by using third party contract manufacturers to produce white label products.

Visitors can meet the BCMPA team on stand WL1782 and speak to eight exhibiting members face to face to glean a clear insight as to how outsourcing can be the best route to market. The show takes place on 28 February and 1 March at ExCeL in London.

Contract Pack & Fulfilment zone to be a highlight for outsourcing at Packaging Innovations 2023 - Feb 2023

The BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics – is representing its 200+ membership, in addition to over 20 exhibiting members at this year’s Contract Pack & Fulfilment show, now established as an essential part of the UK’s leading packaging event – Packaging Innovations & Empack.

Held at the NEC, Birmingham on 15^th & 16^th February, Contract Pack & Fulfilment is focussed on the BCMPA hospitality lounge and has been a valued fixture at the event since 2008. This year’s show is the largest to date and provides retailers, manufacturers, and brands with the opportunity to meet the BCMPA team (who will be demonstrating their free online search facility), and a wide array of potential outsourcing partners to discuss their contract manufacturing, packing, fulfilment, and logistics projects.

Online trade remains strong – consumers are still making full use of ecommerce, and co-packers and fulfilment specialists are keeping up with demand. Outsourcing will continue to deliver in 2023 – Jan 2023

Emma Verkaik, Membership & Marketing Director of the BCMPA, reflects on the growing role that its members have played in meeting demand for outsourced services from brands and retailers across the UK, and foresees further strong collaboration for 2023. Even before this last year, recent events had changed the face of commerce, both nationally and internationally. As brands, retailers and manufacturers sought - finally - to recover from the unprecedented challenges that the pandemic lockdowns and Brexit had presented, third-party outsourcing partners delivered a key element of this recovery.

Dare I say it? 2022 has been a positive year – Dec 2022

I almost hesitate to say it bearing in mind the pressures that all businesses have encountered this year. The big positive is that the strategy to outsource has grown exponentially in 2022 and is destined to continue in 2023.

Last month’s packaging Awards made a pleasant change from the doom and gloom of recent weeks. It was a pleasure to see so many old friends and colleagues celebrating the successes of the packaging industry and more specifically the BCMPA sponsored Co-Pack & Fulfilment Company of the Year Award, which was won by Staci UK. BCMPA outsourcing partners establish long-term stability and flexibility for the nutraceutical market – Jul 2022

In the early stages of the seemingly endless obstacles presented by the events of recent years, many clients of contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs) sought only one thing — the ability to continue their business. Even before 2020, health products and nutraceuticals were growing significantly in popularity; fuelled by numerous campaigns emphasising the importance of diet and well-being, this demand was heightened by the pandemic.
