In the June issue of the Co-Pack & Fulfilment in Packaging News, Emma Verkaik thanks Rodney Steel for his dedication and work in building the BCMPA over the past 20 years as he retires from CEO and she takes over the role. The review of the successful CHEMUK Show back in May reports a 41% increase in footfall showing the value for customers wanting to do business face to face. In addition BCMPA members Lubepack and Wepack report investment in their contract packing facilities and Alexir celebrate their AA+ BRC status, and Orean add certified BCorp status to their business.

BCMPA announces it will provide CHEMUK visitors with insight into the role of outsourcing in the chemical sector

The BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics – has announced it will provide visitors to this year’s CHEMUK with insight into the role of outsourcing in the chemical sector.

CHEMUK will be held at the NEC in Birmingham from May 10-11, featuring over 400 companies exhibiting across three zones.

Experts from the BCMPA will be located in the Chemical Industries Supply Chain zone providing advice for companies looking for contract manufacturing solutions across a range of services, including Research and Development (R&D), formulation of new products, blending, tolling, filling, repacking, handling and distribution.

I almost hesitate to say it bearing in mind the pressures that all businesses have encountered this year. The big positive is that the strategy to outsource has grown exponentially in 2022 and is destined to continue in 2023.
